Sister Julie’s Organic California Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2022 Harvest Field Blend was grown, harvested, and pressed at Starcross in November 2022, and is guaranteed delicious through November 2024 (but we think you'll use it far sooner than that!). Seven varieties of olives make up this delectable Field Blend: Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo, Taggiasca, Canino, and a touch of Maurino and Pendolino. Our oil is Certified Organic and certified Extra Virgin by the California Olive Oil Council.
You choose your book! In "Seasons," Brother Toby uses the experience of the Starcross Monastic Community as a background for a month-by-month contemplative journey through the year, including excerpts from a Shaker Journal. "Violet Seekers" is a collection of essays from a wise elder. Brother Toby finds hope in nature, in poetry, in prayers from all traditions, in his olive trees, in the birds drinking from his fountain.
We grow, dry, and prepare all of the herbs—basil, oregano, thyme, marjoram, rosemary, and sage — right here at Starcross. They embody the coming of spring with their fresh flavors!
